For the Hosts With the Most

For the Hosts With the Most

June 19, 2026

Summer has a way of filling the calendar with visits. A weekend with friends, a dinner outside, a few days at someone’s cabin, or a last-minute invitation to come over and bring something simple. I always like to arrive with a gift that feels useful, lasting, and a little personal. Flowers are lovely, and wine is easy, but a handmade piece is something your host can keep reaching for long after the visit ends.

For the Friend Who Loves to Entertain

A serving platter is one of my favorite gifts for someone who loves bringing people together. It is practical, generous, and easy to use for almost anything: sliced fruit, a summer salad, grilled vegetables, cheese, or whatever gets picked up from the market on the way over.

Our oval platters are especially nice for travel because they are easier to pack into a food case or picnic bag. They feel special on the table, but still simple enough for everyday use.

For the Friend Who Savors Their Mornings

For the person who has a quiet morning routine, the Breakfast Bowl or Dessert Bowl can be a thoughtful gift. It might become the one they reach for every day for cereal, warm oatmeal, or yogurt and granola. There is something comforting about having one piece that becomes part of a daily ritual. Handmade ceramics have a way of making even the simplest meal feel more considered.

For the Host Who’s Tough to Shop For

The Basin Collection is perfect when you’re not quite sure what to bring. These smaller pieces are incredibly versatile. You can use them for olives, nuts, salt, spices, sauces, or mise en place while cooking. They also work beautifully outside the kitchen. I like the idea of using a small basin to hold jewelry, keys, a favorite pair of earrings, or the little things that tend to gather on a bedside table.

Whether you’re shopping for a summer host, a friend you’ll be visiting, or something useful for your own table, I hope you find a piece that becomes part of many good meals and memories this season.

Warmly,
Sarah
