6 Quart Vegetable Fermentation Jar

For a true fermented foods lover, this larger jar is excellent for making sauerkraut and kimchi, and can also be used to make lacto-fermented pickled vegetables ( such as beets, cucumbers, or carrots). 
My Fermentation Jars are all crafted with a waterlock seal, an ancient design which allows for an oxygen-free environment— the gold standard of fermentation. To use, prepare and pack vegetables inside the jar, then fill the channel at the jar’s mouth with water. Once the lid is placed into the water, fermentation begins, creating CO2, which in turn pushes oxygen out of the seal and maintains an oxygen-free ferment.
 
Made with a nontoxic, food safe, corrosion resistant liner glaze. Jars measure 11 inches tall, 8 inches wide. Each jar comes with a letterpressed booklet (includes instructions and my favorite recipes), and a set of porcelain weights to use during fermentation.

We moved to a new location in October 2019 to expand to meet demand. The new studio is not operational yet, but we expect to be operational again in April 2020!
